Although seeing opera at the Atheneum is a little underwhelming, Tosca was brought to those of us who love our opera, but really cant affoerd to pay $200.00 or alternatively want to introduce their children to this wonderful art form. Hearing Tosca in English was not as romantic as in Italian, but to see the mixture of ages in the audience was enough to make it a huge hit for me. Antoinette was wonderful- more please!!

Good performances, enthusiastically performed. All participants acquitted themselves extremely well to provide not only the best value for money entertainment on offer but a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

I am a visitor from the UK, and on my first visit to Australia, I think the theatre was intimate and cosy, the opera was well done and the hand movements of the arch villain were an added thrill to his wickedness. All artists took their parts well. English is not the language for Puccini, the turning of the directions to tosca's lover on his coming death to comedy is the only negative I have. Wonderful.
