Gardots performance was stunning, captivating the audience with her piano playing and command of her vocal talents. The band was tight and the sound quality a delight to the ears.
Despite inclement weather the audience was captivated and entertained with her intimate banter.
Diana Krall was certainly the professional musician and demonstrated her depth of talent with a performance of many jazz favourites as the rain fell.

We had a wonderful day, especially considering the average weather.
The event was very well organised. The mud was at a minimum & the music was fantastic.

Favourite moment: A very beautiful and romantic encore of "dancing in the dark" with a lovely string section backing from the Sydney Chamber Orchestra. @
Opening act(s): I would have preferred two hours of Diana Krall. Gardot was very charming and the saxophonist was great. @

Ms Krall strolled on stage a little after 9.30 wearing a red spanish dress ensemble and after exclaiming dramatically how glad she was to be here sat at the piano and went into a very fast tempo version of "I love being here with you" ending with an excited "hows that!!" to her ensemble.
Her next song was "do it again" which was wonderfully sugestive and evocative.
Subsequent set song choices were very subdued and frequently allowed her fellow band members and the Sydney Chamber Orchestra prolonged solo and ochestral interludes which some audience members seemed to find frustrating and hoping for a little more vocals from Ms Krall which were not forthcoming.
The barely ninety minute set had some great moments and Ms Krall's stage persona in telling stories about her family to the audience were very endearing.
An overall failure to keep the audience engaged throughout I feel was due to a lack of video screens to allow people in the higher rows to see Ms Krall's facial expressions and fingers on the keyboard while she played and the sound mix did not allow the piano parts to be clearly heard when the chamber orchestra was in full swing. A few more uptempo songs in the setlist would also have helped maintain peoples interest.

The organisation and the venue itself were good, the only thing lacking was suitable seating at the food outlets.
Diana Krall herself we felt was very disappointing. Far too much emphasis on the members of her band and while they were good we went to see her not them.
Considering the short time that Diana Krall was on stage, very little was actually done by her. She has a great voice - shame there wasn't much of it.

Just a few lines to express my dissappointment in Diana Krall's performance. My friends and I had packed a picnic lunch, hauling foods, beanbags, pillows etc. all prepared for a long drive 11/2 hours and a late exit from the winery. Instead we were left with a 1 hour performance by Ms Krall, who quite frankly seemed like she just wanted to be home with her family, which is all good and well but not when I invested $107.00 of my money to see a performance by a very talented lady. At least 2 hours is what one would expect for that sort of monies. Very disappointed Ms. Krall. The setting at Peter Lehmann was perfect.

madeleine peyoux was fantastic, sensational voice, but to precede such a disappointing main attraction. Diana Krall clearly wasn't the vocalist i expected, she barely sang. her and her band came across just jamming for their own personal pleasure. waste of my time!
but maddy was want i wanted to see and she did not disappoint. her voice was more amazing live than i dreamed.

Despite the rain dripping through the trees, a day on the green with Diana Krall was a very enjoyable afternoon. Pack a picnic and don't forget the ponco, and you'll be set for an amazing afternoon of wine tasting and listening to the best tunes.

Krall appeared tired, cold and in a hurry "to get out of the place"...whereas,Madeleleine Peyroux was an "eye opener"...really good....Krall's muso's were outstanding, and it must be said that she is a good pianist...However her renditions of Bossa Nova covers when one compares her to the original artists, were second rate..
Exit from the Centennial carpark was a disaster...

Elvis, you are a lucky man, not only beautiful, but a natural talent.
Wonderful performance of the jazz style by four artists that are masters of there professions and not to forget the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
I am still amazed that she took on songs originally performed by by two artists in Oscar Peterson and Ella Fitzgerald and did them better.
I loved this performance and so did those around us, but unfortunately there were some in the audience that did not understand what they had come to see and left early, but that is jazz, just not for everyone, Thank god.

The concert was terrible. The weather was awful and the crowd was not in high spirits. As a result there was no atmosphere. Diana didn' t come across to be in a better mood either. She did not come across as wanting to be there. She was constantly trying to warm up her fingers to play the piano. I have watched dvd's of her concert and I must say i would rather have stayed home and watch her concert on dvd. I strongly believe that under such terrible weather conditions concerts should be cancelled. Very disappointed, couldn't wait to go

Found the artists prior to the main event did not seem to play for the full, advertised time.Even Dianne did not seem to play for the advertised 90 minutes
She and her group however are excellent musicians, Her enefrgy seemed a little flat I thought.
The wine was excellent. .

A wonderful lineup that the showers did not dampen. The four ladies complimented each other perfectly. When the lights went down each gust of wind brought drifts of gum leaves - beautiful! Centennial Vinyard is such a wonderful location and we feel priviledged in the Southern Highlands to have access to these events.
Our only downer was the group behind us who talked loudly throughout the whole event despite many polite requests to keep their noise down. We were told by security that they couldn't do anything about it and we would have to move! We will do so next time! Not sure why they were there!!

The experience of seeing Melody Gardot who was stunning both in voice and appearance and then the joy of Madeleine Peyroux who is so alive and vibrant and then to top it all off the queen of them all! Diana Krall was superb as always and has really matured over the years, a marvellous entertainer singing in her husky voice and fabulous piano playing.
The venue was just the right place for 3 fantastic women, cool , relaxed, ques not long for food or drinks or the loo. Getting out of the parking area unfortunatly was a nightmare the only blot on a fabulous night.
Looking forward to seeing further concerts there.

The venue and catering was fine, much much better than the Jackson Browne at Sutton Grange last year.
The music was great but needed to be louder to create more atmosphere. The artists did not involve the crowd, who needed to be warmed up. The music was too mellow for such a cool and wet day.
The large screen saved the experience, but then if we wanted to watch a big screen, we could have stayed home in Hobart and watched our Dianna Kraal DVD's.
Jazz is so much better in smaller more intimate venues, so we won't be doing "Jazz on the Green in future. Rock or country works better at larger winery venues i.e Paul Kelly.

While both Diana Krall and Madeleine Peyroux were good, I was disappointed that Peyroux was only on for about 40 mins and Krall less than an hour and a half. Also they didn't seem able to fully egage the audience. But I still enjoyed the location and the songs.

Diana was every bit as good as we expected but given the cost of the tickets, the distance travelled and the unhappy weather we endured, 50 minutes from the main artist was way too short to declare the day "value".

What a great line up with Katie Noonan, Melody Gardot, Madeline Peyroux and finally the star act herself!
Enjoyed every bit of the show.
Diana was amazing. I forgot what a brilliant pianist she was, not to mention that voice. A great performance, in very laid back surroundings. Only disappointment was that Diana's performance was much too short, and she allowed the dbass player (while brilliant) to take up too much of the time.
Madeline Peyroux was great too, and she looked as though she had a ball of a time. Thank's Mads!
