Primal Scream are still Fantastic!

Opening act(s): Whilst I can't recall the names of the two opening bands, they both were of much better quality than usual opening acts. Very pleasing indeed. @

Knowing the band Primal Scream were to bolt off to the Meredith Festival for their next night, this Friday night gig felt a little more privileged to see them, thinking they would be better rested. Apparently from numerous friends who saw them at Meredith, they were also excellent. So I marvel at the stamina of this band who provided a much more stripped down rock-set than the 25th Screamadelica tour I saw them at last, in Melbourne. This was enlightening to see how much of a rockin' rock band they can be, but there was still also plenty of electronica to provide the usual Primal Sonic Blast they are so gifted at doing. One good, solid encore ended with a strange wander off stage ending with a loop machine playing on some screaming noise, which was a weird ending, as we were probably all wondering if something more was yet to come. But sadly, it was over and an excellent and very solid two hours had passed with most of their great songs covered i this gig. Truly a band you must catch if you've never seen them live. They rock!!

6th time I have seen Primal Scream, 1st time in Oz. Bobby and the band in top form. Great set covering all the albums. Played with a hard edge! Loved it. Didn't miss Manni.

What can I say other than truly awesome. The crowd was up for a great time and Bobby delivered. He had them eating out of the palm of his hand as he stooged around on stage. Awesome band.

To put it simply The Scream was awesome!
They were heavy heavy for the most part creating a great atmosphere & lights show to match. The crowd played their part & all in all in all it was one of the truely great concerts! Hats off to Primal Scream!!

From the first to the last song primal scream did not fail to impress.. Bobby Gillespie still has it what a legend ... Sound was awesome the venue was perfect for such a band and the crowd really seemed to b in to it from word go... I am so glad I went ..

Just like the last time they were here, Primal Scream brought the party along and ensured that everyone danced the night away. So much fun! Can't wait to see them again!

This is a band I have wanted to see for a long time and they did not disappoint. They played a good mix of the old and new, presenting some new material which I can hardly wait to get a hold of in the next few months. They were so loud that it was still reverberating in my head for most of Saturday.

Primal were sensational for this gig. The sound was a sheer wall of sonic expolsiveness that blew my mind. Lighting effects thrilled enough to be happy, imagining one was back 20 years in some psy-thrill, spaced out, happier life. The Forum is a superb gig for concerts; for Melbourne locals (& older ones at that!) it is wonderfully reminiscient of youth spent in here as a kid at Star Wars, Star Trek, Tron, and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind sci-fi films, which heightened the appreciation of this marvellous band performing their tripped out, sonically out there, and thrilling & spilling aural scapes in sound. I couldn't have asked for a more amazing gig. Totally satisfied. Gillespie is God and the whole production slick and executed marvellously. I thought it was faultless (obviously!)

Slick, sophisticated and oh soooo gooood! A brilliant session at one of the best venues on the East Coast. Loaded and Swastica Eyes brought the house down.

Primal scream got my rocks off!! One of the best and most Influential bands of the 90's... Saw them years ago and they haven't changed, still one of the best live shows you will see, Bobby's a legend!!!

The show was fantastic and even better than the CD. I missed them at Salina's in Coogee Bay 20 years ago, and I am glad, because this time I will remember the show. To all in the crowd....it was great to see us Mum's and Dad's give the kids over to the grandparents for the night and let our hair down. A fantastic night that went by so fast, but had everyone singing and dancing. Thanks Primal Scream.... I now know why you didn't do a follow up to Screamadelica - how can you improve on perfection!
