It was just amazing. Had heard so much about this great man and his daughter. Had heard his CDs but seeing him play was just superb. Will remember the event for a life time. The response of the crowd was as fabulous.

I have listened to Ravishankar's live concert before, but this one was particularly amazing because of his age. To be able to play for that long so beautifully at the age of 92 is unbelievable. But then he is a legend after all.He has not lost his special Ravishankar touch which makes his sitar like no other. Anushka is fantastic too! I am so glad that she is following her father's footstep. She too has her own style. I found the evening mesmerising.

Ravi Shankar was pure genius in his performance on 20 March. Tanmay Bose on tabla was brilliant as always! I was a bit disappointed with 2 things though - the show started at 8.30pm, and Ravi Shankar did not come on till 10pm! Also the "program" we bought did not have the outline of the programme for the night, but was more of a write-up / momento - I would have preferred to have followed what ragas were being played etc. Nevetheless, overall it was a memorable show.

Mesmerized, absorbed, cannot believe the incredible sounds from the instrument - but a master player Ravi and an unforgettable Anushka. When Ravi held his sitar I witnessed a transformation - you can see he is at one with this precious instrument and the sounds - sublime! I know this will be the only opportunity to see him in Australia and I can still hear the sounds, so strong and so wonderful. Thank you.

I have waited since the sixties to see Ravi Shankar, and what joy, his daughter is a genius too. The sound of India was bought to life with their wonderful instruments and drums.

It was an extreme pleasure to watch a master perform, as he is now over 90 this may well have been the last chance to see him, his daughter Anoushka has been taught by the best and has a natural talent she was delightful to behold..

Excellent concert. Worth every penny. Almost everyone got bit emotional in the end as this was Ravi Shanka's farewell concert... :( :( :( :(
