The concert was a wonderful surprise in some ways. The Group supplied such beautiful playing, such strong performances.
The lead violinist was stunning. I have seen wonderful violin playing before, however, this violinist was such a solid, definite and powerful player it was like he and the violin were having a battle, sounds naive I suppose, but it was like a man and his musical instrument having a competition, and the outcome was that they both won comprehensively.

This is the second time I have gone to hear the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne at St Christophers and as always they are a delight to listen to. The constant rotation and replacement of members ensures a fresh and vibrant sound. The Soloists shine and it was pleasing to hear that they had included an Australian soloist like their previous tour. Wonderful and skillfully executed, and thanks for the two encores!

The seven musicians of the Philharmonia Cologne thrilled with their stirring talented playing. The violin solo, piccolo solo and flute solo were outstanding. Beautiful music in a church on a hot night was truly'divine'.

I saw these guys, when they toured a couple of years ago so I organised a few friends to come with me. We were treated to music that transported us out of Canberra on a very warm night. Talented dedicated musicians absolutely loved them and their program. Some popular pieces but their level of difficulty was high, and execution was flawless. When are they coming next?

Brilliant! The pieces were very well chosen, some bravura, some classics. We have never heard the Bach so superbly done. The performers were spectacular, especially the first two violins and the flautist, and all clearly got a buzz out of performing.

Wonderful evenings entertainment in a beautiful venue. St. Peter's cathedral enhanced the performances of wonderful players. So up close and personal with a fabulous choice of pieces showcasing the talent of the lead violinist. I enjoyed every minute of it and so did everyone else - three ovations.

Just brilliant!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone who loves classical music. Not only were they highly skilled but they were also enthusiastic and gracious with the audience!

This was a virtuoso performance by musicians clearly on top of their game. The technical abilities of the performers were amply displayed in an enchanting venue, St Peters Cathedral.

the music was great, the accoustics in the cathedral are really good.
BUT the seating, being pews was hard and uncomfortable and being able to see was difficult from where we sat...
i think $41 for a ticket was a bit steep in respect of this!

I took my 9YO daughter who is learning violin. What an inspiration! Perfect choice of pieces performed. The sound was exquisite and lucky enough to be in 2nd row to see the emotion of musicians as they played and interacted. Thank you so very much to each musician for their life journey that brought them to us. Forever touched and forever grateful.

The concert was great. And the venue was beautiful.
The first half of the concert was music that we knew and loved, the second half was all new to us, and very interesting, and also great to hear.
Two encores showed how much the audience appreciated the quality of the musicians.
And the orchestra seemed to enjoy it as much as we did.
We look forward to the next time they visit our city !
