A great evening of sampling the best NZ has to offer in wine and sea foods. The exhibitors were congenial hosts who offered interesting and knowledgeable insights into their country and their beautiful wares. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, made some great contacts for purchasing our favourite NZ wines and came away with a beautiful keepsake by way of the Reidel wine glass we used throughout the night. We will be sure to look out for the return event and to visit our preferred vintners when we travel to NZ next.

New Zealand in a glass event was a great way to experience some of the best pinot noirs and sauvignon blancs in the world from NZ . The event was also great value for money.
A special mention must be made of the NZ mussels and Wooing Tree Sandstorm Reserve Pinot noir (value $100 plus a bottle). However the sandwiches provided as nibbles were the only negative for the night. Some more NZ produce to support the wine (and possibly a higher cost for the night to cover the cost) could have made the event even better- Duck would have been nice- don't you think?

Too many attendees. Forget the glass, limit the tickets and charge $60 and I'll be there. As usual with these events pests monopolise the producers and you stand there as if you didn't exist while these dills talk rubbish.

Oh to taste such classy and tasty wines and not find one that was not of an acceptable standard. And the friendly Kiwis serving and advising! Add delicate cheeses, club sandwiches and other tit-bits, the night was wonderous every moment.
Super environment, a perfect crowd and even a 'free' glass'. Well done, all.

First time attendee who has heard much about this event and was wondering if it could live up to the hype..... Well it did and more!. The wine experts knew their stuff and besides this were most friendlly and unpretentious, the other attendees were all there to have a good time and taste a few nice wines and the wines themselves were absolutely lovely. Definitely have to make a return visit....

Favourite moment: Tasting the Clos Henri premium sauvignon blanc and pinot noir...awesome bro! @

The annual Kiwi wine tasting was another fantastic opportunity to taste a broad selection of New Zealand's wineries from across both islands, represented mostly by the winemakers themselves.
I found the people friendly, obliging and passionate about their craft, and the selection of wine variety treatments was refreshingly diverse. The Clos Henri sauvignon blancs were stand-out for me (honeyed toast in a glass) and the Mavern premium sauvignon blanc (kiwi fruit in a glass).
There were some stunning pinot noirs on show, too...more so than in previous years, in my opinion.
And thanks to the organisers for our decent-sized wine glasses, which made the tasing a much more pleasurable and accurate experience. Venue was also excellent as PCEC has great views, is much more centrally located and has better access to public transport options than the Hyatt.
