Tim Minchin is amazing, his performance a mixture of personal stories, insecurities, intelligent comedy and amazing songs, performed and sung beautifully.
I have seen him four times so far and I will go again. Tim Minchin is a must see artist.

The piano playing is genius enough but the fact that he scored the entire show just shows what an unbelievable talent the man has.
And for all those people complaining about his language or the content of the show....what did you expect? It's not the Wiggles!!

I would highly reccomend Tim Minchin he is smart, funny and stands for everything that i do.
I was just VERY pissed off it was exactly the same show as last year......same jokes, same songs, same set list completely.......waste of $70.

Tim Minchin was totally awesome. I would recommend him to anyone. He is truly unique and a fantastic singer, songwriter, composer, musician and performer.

Thank you Tim, Awesome, in the true sense of the word. Black comedy, biting and often confronting satire, clowning and pathos-and instrumentally gifted, a flawless show.
Breathtaking talent and astounding concentration-the pace of the show was often frenetic yet he was word and note perfect, it's hard to believe he has so much incredible ability in just the one brain...we've been fans a long while, and this is the first live show we have seen though we have all the dvds.
If you read this and ever get the opportunity to see the man perform live, do it wihout hesitation. We'd seen him perform a lot of the material on DVD but really, it SO didn't matter-and we still marvelled at his skill and presence on stage-loved every second, and the SSO were brilliant!

Tim Minchin tried too hard to be offensive. I simply didn't really find the show funny - it was quite embarrassing at times - the themes were very predictable - anti homophobe, anti Christian etc. Would have been nice to hear a more positive, uplifting and inspiring message. He does have great natural musical talent though.

A very unique concept act. Comprising of and merging classical music rock and pop
with occasional hip hop. All performed seamlessly through dynamic tempo changes, subtle
and powerful ballads smoothly transcending in and out of sublime piano solos. All of
the time, thrilling, shocking and rocking the audience with outrageously clever lyrics. Lyrics
that are thought provoking, hard hitting, personal, multi-layered and often hysterically funny.
All this musical geniousity blended with regular stand up comedy in between songs and short
breaks for the delightful orchestral players that make up Melbourne's and indeed all Victorians
symphony orchestra. Our symphony orchestra that was conducted so wonderfully
by an old university friend of the brilliant yet incredibly humble Minchin. The conductor was
charismatic and entertaining and far from overawed when the spotlight came his way,
giving teasing glimpses of a charming and nearly hypnotic personality. Giving Minchin
just a little respite when needed. Both Minchin and conductor displaying almost nonchalant
confidence in the obvious musical expertise in both the orchestra and Minchins two band members. Giving the show even more edge by performing seemingly walking a tightrope.

Tim Minchin combines musical brilliance with intelligent humour.
His performance was thought provoking, and sometimes challenging his
shockingly honest lyricks made me gasp then relax and laugh.
Tim's musical arrangements are clever, unusual and extremely entertaining I could have listened to more the time flew. I would recommend him and would definately go to another event of his given the opportunity. I would also buy his DVD's and CD's I rarely buy CD's DVD's etc. Money well spent.

What an unforgettable night with the talent and diversity of TIm Minchn and the WASO. We absolutely loved it and found the humour, music and confronting nature of the whole performance, fantastic. After laughing and crying throughout the whole performance, we talked non-stop about it for days. We will definitely be seeing TIm again and hopefully he wil return to Perth asap!

Excellent show, humour rapier sharp and intelligent, musical styles perfectly performed, and not a flat moment, any one who was offended either did not attend (there is ALWAYS some of those) or needs to stick with Adam Sandler movies.

Tim Minchin was a consumate comedian and powerfully paraletic performer! A joy to watch such a subversive s ense of humour coupled with stupendous musical talent, and a seemingly genuine sense of self depreaciation. Thaanks for a great night for my daughteer Becky and myself. All hits were played freshly and loudly. The lighting was fantastic, and the sound was brilliant. Loved the duo with tim on piano and the wonderful drummer. We thought the show was professional and easy, without losing spontenaity. Loved the Conducter, he was a sexy groove machine... GREAT SHOW THANKS TIM and the MSO !xxxx :)

We travelled down from Geraldton especially to see Tim Minchin & it was well worth the effort & expense. He just astounds me with how talented he is & the WA Symphony Orchestra was stunning. If you ever have the chance to see Tim Minchin live go for it.

Irreverant, naughty, highly entertaining and intelligent satire wrapped up in fabulous voice and piano talent that had us entranced from the cheapest seats in the house. WASO was an added bonus to this clever entertainer who swept us up in his humour, rebellion and raw ginger talent at its best. So proud of his Perth roots also.

Rivetting from the first line, great entertainment apart from anything else. A truly original thinker, very provocative, brutally honest and fearless, hilariously funny. Unafraid of self-disclosure and wryly self-effacing. A superb musician. Manages to include serious, almost sentimental material without becoming boring. Please get him back every year.
