Excellent one woman show. It was so enjoyable that the time just flew and before we knew, it was over, sadly. Highly recommend this show.

Truly outstanding. Miriam Margolyes gets inside the skin of her characters, and is able to evoke the gamut of emotions in her audience. And we discover things about Dickens that most wouldn't know - he wasn't very nice to his wife and had a thing for 17-year old girls!

I cannot praise this show enough. Miriam Margolyse is superb. Her understanding of the characters, her passion for Dickens is evident from the moment she speaks her first words. She is truly amazing. She imparts so much, not just with her words but also facial expressions and portrays each character with flair and such a sense of knowing what Dickens wanted you to see in each one that you are completely absorbed.
Don't miss this show! You won't be disappointed.

Completely inhabits the characters! Super interesting take on Dickens' motivations and links to his writing. Great sense of humour but also very moving. Totally recommend!

Miriam didn't need fancy props and costumes for she becomes each woman in each tale, her knowledge of the writer, the stories and the characters are second to none and so I came away with a feast of new knowledge about Dickens and his characters, didn't know learning could be so much much fun. The pace of the show was done to perfection although I didn't want it to end. However, I forgave her because after performing to for 2 hours she still had time to talk and sign her reasonable priced CDs and book.

From her entrance on stage Miriam Margolyes portrayal of so many Dickens' characters ,both male and female ,was brilliant in every way. Her ability to produce their voices and physical appearances made each character come to life just as I had imagined them while reading the books in which they featured.
I was in raptures with her astuteness and some times outrageous humour, wit, pathos and,adaptability. I was amazed by her ability to move so quickly and cleverly from one beautifully drawn character to the next. I loved every minute of this exciting, entrancing performance . I thought the pianist added greatly to the over all ambience. An unforgettable evening of superb theatre.
