From her entrance on stage Miriam Margolyes portrayal of so many Dickens' characters ,both male and female ,was brilliant in every way. Her ability to produce their voices and physical appearances made each character come to life just as I had imagined them while reading the books in which they featured.
I was in raptures with her astuteness and some times outrageous humour, wit, pathos and, adaptability. I was amazed by her ability to move so quickly and cleverly from one beautifully drawn character to the next. I loved every minute of this exciting, entrancing performance . I thought the pianist added greatly to the over all ambience. An unforgettable evening of superb theatre.
