Always watching the Socceroos is an unforgettable experience. I've been to Sydney to see us qualify the World Cup, part of the greatest party on earth in Germany 06, Asian Cup in Thailand, the nil all against Holland and every match the Socceroos have played in Melbourne.
I'm a Victory member too, who watches all the games at Etihad Stadium. However, this is first time I saw the seats moved close and onto the field. Watching the match was a whole new experience with the fans so close to the game itself.
Please Eithad - all Football (soccer) matches should have the seats close to the ground!!

My children and I drove for 4 hours to see Australia play. Both my boys play regional soccer and were over the moon to be able to experience a live Australian soccer roos game. We were not disappointed the atmosphere was tense and we were all yelling encouragement to our team to shoot and in the final 15min they did wow what a great way to end the game. It was a moment that myself and boys will never forget. We would love to watch another Soccer roos game if possible in the future.

the soccer was really good we had perfect seats but beer was poured all over our seats and the crowed infront were a bit crazy .I really liked how we were given free flags at the start of the match because we brought our tickets online. Over all it we so GOOD!

Oman were a high quality opposition for the Socceroos and tested them fully. The game started brightly with good passing interchanges by both teams with the Socceroos creating some half chances before the Omani's took charge for about 15 minutes before half time. The second half was similar to the first, the only difference being Timmy Cahill latching on to a Chipperfield cross to steer the ball into the net. The Omani's lifted their game striving for an equaliser bur to no avail. 1-0 to the Socceroos.

Once again the boys showed what they're made of. They played well and kept at it shot after shot never giving in. Good thing the Omani GK had his head in the game. Congrats to both teams for a game well played. The Socceroos make it look so easy. Well done Tim. Not only for the winning goal but for the tribute to your heritage. You're a great sportsman! GO SOCCEROOS!

Watching Australia win on Wednesday night was fantastic. They only issue i had was if i had known that the stadium was going to move the seats on Level 1 in I would have gotten seats there instead of on Level 2.

Was looking forward to bringing my son Christian to his first International Soccer game.On arrival very excited with tickets at the home end and receiving Australian flags.Excitement was changed to disappointment.People in front of us were standing and no clear view of the game.Police and sercurity were informed.Unable to implement situation.I was very discused that no one was able to implement the rules when they are clearley mounted all over the stadium.People around us were leaving,so we decide to leave at half time.On leaving informing Etihad staff of my discuss.Luckly another Ethiad staff member overheard conversation and asked if we wish to sit elsewhere.We were grateful,luckily attendance at the game was poor and were able to get seats.Still amased nothing was done.Very upset child.

Thank God for Tim Cahill!!
The match was fast, edge of seat stuff and, at times nail-biting. The skills evidenced by players on both sides were outstanding. It was a great thrill to watch international standard soccer live.
The internet ticketing system worked well and we had no trouble at the venue except when trying to find our seats. Internal signage could have been clearer. We had to ask for clarification to find aisle 46. Signs pointed us to the left where we entered but that took us into a bar area. Next time it may be easier. PA was clearer on Lvl 2 than I have found on Lvl 1 (our usual location). Or was that just the night?
Overall - a great experience.

i thought it was awesom though i would have really liked an autograph and the players to interact with crowd more when they finished the game :) i will definatley come for another game when the socceroos play again

Great atmosphere. Amazing team. Just over 20,000 people.... We can do better than that people. Get behind your country and support our boys!!!!
Great to see a young aussie fan base there. This is the world game after all.
Great job Socceroos! Jason Calina, i have much respect for you after telling my daughter you would come back to sign her flag and propmtly did after walking the pitch. This is what keeps the spirit alive!!!

A great intense game, that kept the fans on the edge of their seat. Hopefully next game can be scheduled on a Friday night or a weekend so that we can fill the stadium.

great seats, bring the seats closer would be even better. crowd numbers were a bit disappointing - i dream of the day that stadium are fully packed for any socceroos match. good showing by the Oman supporters gives us the aussie supporters a good vocal match -gives the atmosphere that extra oomph. if tickets were cheaper more people would show up, a lot of my friends didn't come because the tickets were too expensive??!! I paid $80 for mine with tons of empty seats around me!!?? sell all tickets half price and there will be a bigger crowd.

Location: Visior from Sydney here for 2 months
I tried to find a way to contact socceroos - no luck
But from home end looking down the field I saw so many cases of attack coming down the middle and then a socceroo with the ball panicks and passes into heavili defended left or right when there is no oposition to goal none. at leats 10 time. We must not be afraid odf the goal

Loved the experience of sitting in Australia's Home End. Everybody was into the game and it was great when Australia was going into attack with the flags flying and everyone cheering.

Australia did the job required - dominated the play but couldn't find the net, until Timmy Cahil brilliantly netted from the back post.
Australia really is playing as good as their high world ranking implies. Very professional - Rock solid defence, and a few good options up front.
