The whole experience was amazing and being our first Day On The Green we were stoked at the well run and organized event.Plenty of food and seating and enough toilets.
The crowd was in our age group mostly in the over 30s which suited us down to the ground.

The stage and sound was sensational as were the 3 acts, The Mental ,Proclaimers and the Might B52s.
It was a bit of a hassle getting out after the event and that was probabaly the only draw back and we would have scored it 5 stars other than that small hiccup.

Bring on the next event and we will certainly be there.

It was a perfect setting. The Mentals got us in the mood. The Proclaimers were good (even know I only knew 2 songs-ha ha). Seeing The B52's was just wonderful. My seats were great. I took my sisters with me and one really didn't want to go but she had the best time and was pleased with everything.

A day on the green was well organised, the crowd was good and got involved. All three bands were great but I liked Mental as Anything's set the most. The Procaimers can still belt out their songs. The B52s certainly know how to throw a party.

I recently attended the A Day on the Green concert at Sirromet Winery, Mt Cotton.
After reviewing the web site, I left the car at home and easily caught the bus knowing I could have a great time and enjoy a drink or two and picnic with freinds while listening to some fantastic bands. (some from my childhood)
One thing I did forget was the picnic rug, but that didnt dampen my spirits as there wasnt much sitting down.... I was up dancing to the tunes of Mental as Anything... and I was definately pounding the ground to the the Proclaimers 500miles... And how could I forget the rocking B52's....tin roof.....rustin!
The bands were great, the wine and atmosphere amazing (did I mention this was my first Sirromet experience)..
I enjoyed every minute of it... including the ease on getting on a bus when it was time to go home and the comfortable bus ride home.
The staff were freindly and I also saw some people helping out those that needed some more support during the day (spraying water to keep people cool in the heat and giving out bottles of water). Just wish I could have been the adopt a friend for the day!
I didnt see anyone fighting (well maybe one group who set up picnic beside me... over who double dipped)..
Dancing to the retro tunes in between band changes..by DJ Grandmaster Baitz complete with his costume changes and airguitar tennis racket! Aaaaahhhh the memories
But overall a great day.. Id recommend it to anyone and Id definately see this line up again..

The B-52s once again showed why they the number one party band in the world with a great show on Saturday night. The crowd was blessed with a night of great weather with the storms holding off, and the heat waves of the day before and after not to be seen. The B-52s kept the crowds out of the their seats for most of the concert with a blend of old and new. Being a fan that has everything they have released, they played a lot of songs from their latest fantastic cd "Funplex" as well as all of their favourites. The guitar riffs are better than ever, the harmonies of Cindy and Kate as angelic as ever, and the straight faced Fred kept us all amused with his quips and observations. They're starting to look their age, but they can still make us all feel like teens again ! Rock on that lobster !!

Mudgee day on the green was a complete success in the area of entertaining the crowd, it would be hard to pinpoint any one particular performance as they were all exceptionaly good, the peak performances would have been James Rayne, Wendy Mathews and of course Kasey Chambers.
A big well done to the performers and to the event organisers for an unforgettable day out for many lucky, happy people...

The sun was shining, the grass was green, the wine was flowing and the music was superb. Mental as anything warmed the crowd as the sun began to cool down and received a great reception. The proclaimers were next with a rendition of all their hits. The crowd roard along to every song, but sunshine on leith brought a tear to every Scottish person in the crowd and going by the flags, there were a fair few!
The Jocks stayed behind to sign autographs - good lads! The B52s - not a huge fan but they really won me over, great band live and they finished off with thier 2 biggest hits which was a superb finally to a perfect evening.

Very disappointed! Tickets said gates open at 3pm! Arrived at 3.30pm to find the venue had been opened for quite some time and was very nearly full and my favourite band, Boom Crash Opera were already well into their set..............not happy Jan!
Shame shame shame to Peter Lehman Wines for upping the price on wine by $10 a bottle from the last Day on the Green I went to with Hall & Oates (who were crap but Icehouse were awesome!)
All in all, it is a fantastic day and this particular programme was amazing, only wish I could have seen all of it!! Must do and see for everyone............

Overall a great DOTG, but I have never seen so many people leaving during a concert in my life! The lead-in acts were pretty ho hum, but then the crowd got well into Icehouse and the vibe was perfect. However, Hall & Oates were a tragedy and the show fizzed out. Icehouse should have been the prime act. Unfortunately the "nanny state" and fun police also stepped in and shut down the bars way too early. The venue, facilities and weather were excellent, but the total absence of traffic control when leaving made the exit unecessarily lengthy.

We were fortunate to attend 2 Day at the Greens in the same weekend. Inxs undoubtabley brilliant on Saturday night, followed by Joe Cocker on Sunday. We had excellent seats at both venues. But what a comparasion. Concerts are a great way of letting your hair down, embracing the music & showing appreciation by dancing & capturing pics of your favorite moments. The security let the Joe Cocker concert down. A couple close to us were asked to stop dancing (rock & Roll) & so were we cause some one complained that we blocking their veiw. Seriously? A bands greatest pleasure must be to see people enjoy their music by dancing & not by sitting like stunned mullets on their bums. Security were quite over stepping their mark, & should have been better spent, instead of trying to bully paying customes having FUN.

Far exceeded my expectations of him, his voice and songwriting skills are brilliant. I've always love going to the venue for concerts like Rob's , however this even was marred by heavily intoxicated females who thought it their right to interefere with everyone else's reason for being there. I can't wait until Rob comes back with Matchbox 20 and next time I'll be more careful where I sit. Great show otherwise.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable, civilized, relaxed evening. It was great to sit out with the warm sunshine, sipping on a cold glass of white wine from Sandalford Wines!
The music venue was top quality. It was very well organized with the seating arrangements so everyone could see the stage. A separate dance area closer to the front allowed those that wanted to get up and dance the freedom to do this without disturbing those that wanted to sit, eat and drink.

I will definitely be looking forward to the next concert held at this venue and will be recommending it to friends.

Thanks again for a top night!

Rob was charismatic, engaging and hugely entertaining. He engaged and interacted with the audience superbly and is incredibly easy to listen to for hours and hours. Just loved him and would definitely go back and see him again and again.
