The sun was shining, the grass was green, the wine was flowing and the music was superb. Mental as anything warmed the crowd as the sun began to cool down and received a great reception. The proclaimers were next with a rendition of all their hits. The crowd roard along to every song, but sunshine on leith brought a tear to every Scottish person in the crowd and going by the flags, there were a fair few!
The Jocks stayed behind to sign autographs - good lads! The B52s - not a huge fan but they really won me over, great band live and they finished off with thier 2 biggest hits which was a superb finally to a perfect evening.

He was absolutely amazing - great show - just a little disappointed at the end he didn't do an encore - but apart from that it was great - this is my 4th concert at seeing Rob and he never disappoints his voice is awesome

It was a thoroughly enjoyable, civilized, relaxed evening. It was great to sit out with the warm sunshine, sipping on a cold glass of white wine from Sandalford Wines!
The music venue was top quality. It was very well organized with the seating arrangements so everyone could see the stage. A separate dance area closer to the front allowed those that wanted to get up and dance the freedom to do this without disturbing those that wanted to sit, eat and drink.

I will definitely be looking forward to the next concert held at this venue and will be recommending it to friends.

Thanks again for a top night!

Rob was charismatic, engaging and hugely entertaining. He engaged and interacted with the audience superbly and is incredibly easy to listen to for hours and hours. Just loved him and would definitely go back and see him again and again.

OMG what a night, as always Rob's performance was outstanding.
The minor lights mulfunctions was only because his preformance was so amazing that it blew a fuse....lolol.
I would totally recommend anyone go to see ROB THOMAS and I will be attending his next Australian Tour Concert where ever it maybe.

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening - didn't arrive til Vanessa Amorosi started but thought both she and Rob Thomas were fantastic. Had about a half hour wait in traffic to get in which was a bit of a pain, but nothing compared to the nearly 2 hours we had to wait before we could get out of the carpark to go home. This was our first time at Sandalford so will be better prepared next time we go - but definitely need an esky in the car full of cold beers for the long wait. Surely more exits could be made available.

I have seen Rob Thomas/Matchbox 20 everytime they have been to Australia since they have been coming in the late 90's and this concert (despite all the technical hitches) was one of the best! The venue has its issues but Rob is such a talented and sexy performer that I will keep going to see him everytime he returns.

Rob Thomas did not play any of his old songs. Also, the crowd was disappointment when he said that he was not playing any Matchbox 20 songs. Some people got up and left.

Rob didnt even play his two new radio songs which would have got people up dancing. Instead he played someone else's song. I am disappointed that he was not enthusiastic about the concert. He talked alot but he didnt seem into it.

I wasted my money on that concert. Just hope Matchbox 20 tours and comes to Perth first with heaps of enthusiam.

Concert was good, had to sit at the back, due to having high back chairs which sucked.
Rob Thomas looked about 2cm tall and hard to see the action at times. Got there early and still had a poor viewing spot. would be better if it had seating provided and allocated with a little room for dancing as most people stood up in front to dance. Can't beat em join em was what everyone had to do.
Overall the event was a good night out.

The sky was blue, the breeze was warm, the people were friendly and the support bands rocked. Then Rob Thomas came out to perform. WOW! HIs voice is exactly what you expect, his energy palpable. He feels his songs, and we felt him feeling them. My only complaint is that the show finished too soon, he sang so little and I wanted to hear so much more. But then we would have been there till dawn.....

Rob Thomas was amazing. He sang each song as if he meant every lyric. I loved the dark and shade in his choice of songs. It was worth every cent and would go again. Will go back to see him with Matchbook 20 as I missed them last time.

We have listened to all of Vanessa Amorosi's music but never had the chance to see her live until now , she's a rock godess , her voice and talent and stage presence blew us away , we will definitely go to another of her concerts , she should have been the headline act . Rob Thomas took us to another place with his voice and music and I would have to say was one of the best international acts I have ever seen , the power and emotion in all his songs and how much of himself he put into the whole concert made it a lifelong memory for me that I will never forget , We are so looking forward to him touring with Matchbox 20 .

My first event at Sandalford made a great impression. Excellent venue and facilities. Wicked warm up bands that got everyone pumping for the main event. Rob Thomas was brilliant. Great sound. A few glitches with the lights but it didn't take away from the atmosphere at all. Wickedly good vibe in the crowd. Entry and exit onto the site was well organised. A top event.

Great day out on The Green. Vanessa A was fantastic and should have played longer. Rob was good, but lost the audience at times and could have played more Matchbox 20 songs. The bar closed early, which was annoying too. Must have been due to the scuffle on The Green and the concealed fire arm??!! They cannot keep it home, can they?

A concert to be remembered - just the right amount of 'chat' and jokes - we went to hear him sing and that is what he did - sang his heart out - fantastic - even the glitch with the lighting was handled just right. When is he coming again?

Sandalford really do have to do something about getting in and out of their venue - queued for over an hour to get into the venue (after opening time) and even longer to get out - this is the one area that is 'off putting' to booking concerts at this venue.

Great venue, beautiful surroundings and great artists. Vanessa Amorosi has an amazing voice and really got the crowd going. Being a big fan of Rob Thomas...of couse I loved it. Highlights were Vanessa mixing with the crowd, then struggling to get back on the stage and her Janis performance. Rob singing a mix of old and new songs really got everyone up dancing. Also handle the black out on stage very well. Only low light that the seated area had no were to dance but at their seated area, would have been nice to head to the front to dance. Not sure if the artists really got the feedback they deserved. Over all a great Sunday sundowner!!
