Opening act(s): Perhaps Wendy should of opened instead of Mental As Anything, she was abit more mellow in her opening songs. Good for an afternoon kickoff @

Moss was brilliant, so were the other titles. Too bad about the grumpy security man with the megaphone. Always wanting u to move!
Venue was great, fantastic event to kick back and relax with a few drinks, also to hit the dance section and sing with legends!

An absolutely fabulous day with classic awsomely talented musicians that got the day rollin.
Dragon were tight and smooth with Mark Williams doing justice to their classic songs. Ross Wilson was dynamic and really got the place rockin.. Jemes Reyne just continued in the same vein.
Then Casey came on and her nasal whining songs dropped the whole atmosphere for me. She even blatantly promoted her other side interests and we were there to hear some good music. Casey was a definate let down for me...

We always have a great weekend in Mudgee for Day on the Green....this year was just as good except for the headline act of Kasey Chambers, pushing her new album, her husband, merchandise all set. And why did she have to bring on those kids singing and that stuffed pupped of some sort, she should have been 1st not last. James Reyne was brilliant. I am a fan of Ian Moss but he just seemed to muck around, Wendy Matthews was great. Yes we will come again next year, only if Kasey is not there. Also the wine is too expensive

The venue for the Mudgee A Day on the Green was excellent, facilities great and food and drink readily available. The day was very pleasant and all acts were entertaining. Kasey performed well but we didn't appreciate the cross promotion going on during her act. The kids album and book were not what we came to see - the kids singing was less than impressive and made it more like a primary school parade item. When she did sing her songs they were great so it was disappointing that she ruined the flow of her performance with these other issues.

I just want to say thanks to the organisers for a fab day. The line up was great, even though I am Irish and didn't know all the artists, they were fantastic. I am a big Kasey fan so that's why I went but I am so glad we got the bus early and arrived for the whole show. It was one of the best days ever....
The toilets were clean and I didn't have to cue for long which is a plus. The only dissapointing thing was the choice of beverages!! Although there was not a big que for that either which was great.
I would def be back next year. Thanks Mudgee, it was great!!

Had a great day, music and weather was superb. Pity Mental As Anything was on first as they would of been a great finishing act. Wasn't a Kasey Chambers fan before and I'm still not.
After listening to the earlier bands, thought the day could of finished off better. Ian Moss was a great act......I think everyone enjoyed his music.

I went to see John Mellancamp last year at Bimbadgen which was brilliant but this was better. The absence of chairs up the front allowed people to get close to the stage (please keep this in place!!!). Mental as Anything were so so and I am not a huge fan of Kasey Chambers (I am not on my own here judging by the number of people that left during her set). Wendy Matthews sounded and looked great but Ian Moss and James Reyne were brilliant. Please continue with these type of line ups. There are a heap of Aussie Bands from the 70's 80's and 90's that may not be able to pull a crowd on their own but would fill the place every weekend throughout summer

We had a gr8 day and will be back again next year, 2 minor complaints, crap choice of beer ( xxxx gold or hahn lite ) I thought we lived in NSW !!. I was looking forward to seeing Ian Moss, but was dissapointed when he only played half a dozen songs, which went on & on & on like he was practicing his guitar solos & trying to get the crowd to sing along, which is ok if you can hear them from even half way back. I thought he wasnt keen on being there. But on the plus side James Reyne was pumped, He sang heaps of songs & kept everyone on their feet, it was gr8. Thanks for a chance to review.

all in all it was a good day and the wether held out i went because my 13 year old daughter just had to see kasey chambers live she has been a fan forever . we had to travel 2 hours each way to go to the show and then found out that kasey and wendy mathews would not be doing autographs, this we found very dissapointing especially for the younger fans . i took her to see melinda schnider live and she was an excellant entertainer and was only to happy to do autographs.

really enjoyed most of the show, but was dissapointed with Casey. Too much time spent on her new album and her kids. Not a patch on presentation in Tamworth. Mental as anything, James Reyne and Ian Moss all entertained us with enthusiasm

I was dissapointed with Kasey Chambers performance, all she did was plug her upcoming new album and merchandise adnauseum. I won't be buying it ! Her kids were cute but not for 3 songs. Very disappointing for the main act. The other preformer's were great.

KaseyChambers should have been the first performer. Everyone was ready to rock on after James Reyne. However to whole mood changed and it was quite a somber affair. Otherwise it was very good. Could have listened to Ian Moss and James Reyne all night. Everything else was extremely well organised. I will be attending next year.

I've been to the past three Mudgee Day on the Green events and I think this was the one I enjoyed least. While I enjoyed most of the acts, Ian Moss, Wendy Matthews and Mentals were great, I wasn't as impressed with Kasey Chambers, especially the inclusion of the children in the act. This would have been OK if she had had first billing but as the main act. We wanted to be able to dance. The concert would have been much more entertaining if she had been on first and Mental As Anything had performed at the end of the evening. Also the concert finished far too early. It's not like we would be disturbing neighbours, and the comments from the people I was with were that they were far too old to be going home to bed at 9pm on a Saturday night.
