Etihad stadium is not a bad stadium for sporting events but leaves fans dissapointed. Seating and views are pretty much good all round with the best location being on level 2 sidelines when watching soccer. However when you are on level ,1 being ground level, the advertising boards around the perimeter of the pitch, hinders your views from the sidelines. It's because the seats are on an oval shape ground and the side fence is 20mtrs from the side of the pitch for soccer games.This is disappointing when you consider that the sideline seating stands can be extended out to the side of a square pitch for soccer games. Why don't they do it? It would increase the attraction of A league games.
More often that not events like concerts, if held at Etihad prior to a game, spoils the ground. This has happened time and time again with Victory playing on an inferior pitch.
Also during A league games only light bear is served with average type of food available at a premium cost. It is better for patrons to start off at Docklands to eat and drink whatever they like at the many restaurants and bars located there, then do the short walk to the ground. At least you can have a decent bear there.

actually, I liked the stadium but they gave me unlikely seats.because of their locations, I could not watch the match clearly. because I bought the tickets early, they should give me a good location (in the middle).

After finding the Victory room was closed due to water damage, we reached our seats on level two, and had an excellent view of the pitch and game

The seats were fine, except for the fact that the advertising hoardings were running parallel to the sideline, and our line of site was such that we were unable to see the legs of the players when they were close to the sideline. Also, the Etihad surface was crap, so for soccer, control of the ball was so so.

Very poor attendance of only 18,500. At times likes these they should close down level 2 and/or level 3 to give the match and stadium a much better atmosphere.

Great seats, great result....just a shame the atmoshphere wasnt what we had hoped for, only 18,000 there. Not bad for a Thursday night though I guess.

All Ok, however the state of the pitch was not up to an exceptable standard. Etihad stadium was built as a sporting stadium. Not rock concert or sensation venue, sporting events should not be compromised by such events, regardless of the potential revenue. Alternatively the revenue generated by such events should ensure high standard turf at ALL times!

Very easy to book tickets. Went to the ground feeling at ease knowing that I had booked the best available seats. Arrived at our seats very pleased with the view and position of our seats. Very happy, and also happy my team won : )

My first football game in Melbourne and as a sporting event, 2 goals is always a bonus for a football game but the quality/standard was below what I expected. (Spoilt by living in Europe for over 15 yrs)
My family enjoyed the night but it was always going to be a strugle to watch a football game in a stadium it is not suited for.
Looking forward to the new stadium which is purpose built for football as it will bring the crowd closer to the game and the atmosphere will be fantastic based on what I witnessed Friday night.
22K+ fans close to the action will be electric compared to spread out all over in a rules stadium.
As a former rules player and coach I look forward to next season and attending more games, Its so much more entertaining and skilfull than what Rules has become.
I look forward to further games.

We enjoyed the match and felt safe and comforable but were not immpressed with Archie Thompsons sexualized antics with the corner flag pole after his first goal. There were a lot of kids sitting with thier familys all around us and we didnt need to see that.

Possibly one of the greatest games I've seen the players played superbly and played like a team. And the crowd on all sides lifted the atmosphere to huge levels. Would have been good to see 30,000 plus there but I'm not going to let that spoil the great night we had.

We are hooked, took my 6 year old soccar daughter for the first time to see a big live game. What a great feeling and excellent experience, we are goiung to go next time with the whole family and get into this, good on ya Victory, Ethiad and Ticketmaster

A good match great to watch an english team go up against victoty. Lots of action and atmosphere a really enjoyable experience. The only downside was price of tickets a bit expensive if they were cheaper the stadium might have been more than half full.

The match was entertaining with both sides showing their early form but Fulham showed their proffesional side with some clinical finishing and sharp moves, nevertheless it was nice to be a part of it. The crowd was a little dissapointing but the Fulham supporters did very well to keep you entertained.

A subdued crowd reflected subdued performances on the field. Following a slow start Fulham asserted their superior skill and sharpness to overpower Victory in the end. The overall game highlighted the differences between the EPL and the A League. Although not disgraced the 4-0 scoreline did emphasise the lack of poise in front of goal by the locals. It was very interesting to test the waters against a well drilled and discipled team like Fulham. My only criticism would be that both sides lacked creative flair and Victory was too content to maintain their failing long ball game plan and sustain a lack of urgency that the crowd would have appreciated in changing. It was good to see local football progress again with these type of games.
