Etihad stadium is not a bad stadium for sporting events but leaves fans dissapointed. Seating and views are pretty much good all round with the best location being on level 2 sidelines when watching soccer. However when you are on level ,1 being ground level, the advertising boards around the perimeter of the pitch, hinders your views from the sidelines. It's because the seats are on an oval shape ground and the side fence is 20mtrs from the side of the pitch for soccer games. This is disappointing when you consider that the sideline seating stands can be extended out to the side of a square pitch for soccer games. Why don't they do it? It would increase the attraction of A league games.
More often that not events like concerts, if held at Etihad prior to a game, spoils the ground. This has happened time and time again with Victory playing on an inferior pitch.
Also during A league games only light bear is served with average type of food available at a premium cost. It is better for patrons to start off at Docklands to eat and drink whatever they like at the many restaurants and bars located there, then do the short walk to the ground. At least you can have a decent bear there.
