I am absolutely shocked that the ticketing system is what it is. How can the following occur:
1. Anyone purchase Heart Active seating area tickets. Most of the bad stuff that happened with the broken seats and aggression to Victory was started by people that are not regulars and us regular Heart members call Derby Specials. This is an element of people that hate Victory more than they follow the Heart. These people barely know players names of my club but sit in an area and yell abuse an start chants against Victory. These seats should be made available to Heart members only. Ditto with the seats above the Heart supporters. We had Coins and full water bottles thrown at us, I have bruises from the impact of these Victory supporters throwing objects at us. Do some research on what happens at Football games around the world.
2. Security and Police presence is non existant and when I spoke to Security they agreed and said it was under resourced for what it is. When the morons were breaking chairs there was no Security in the aisles. Most of the people who broke chairs were teenagers trying to act like rebels. A bit more police presence and it would have been stopped.
Next time we play at Etihad stadium, you should have areas just for Heart supporters on all levels. Lower tier is Heart Active MEMBERS. Second Tier is Heart Members wishing to buy Reserved Seats. Upper Tier is Heart supporters wishing to buy GA tickets. This way you eliminate the morons, have a safer environment for everyone and we can identify with each other more. The core supporters known as Yarraside were not the reason the chairs were broken. It is an outside element that only turns up for Derby games. I was with the core fans after the game at our pub and all were disgusted. Media and General Public unfortunetely will not report this.
